This spring a US$150-million mega-yacht will be christened by France’s Compagnie du Ponant.
The 264-guest Le Boréal combines French design with cutting-edge technology.
Two pairs of arched windows fore and aft allow for plenty of light and views of the sea from lounges and public spaces.
Le Boréal has an abundance of public spaces: a theatre for performances and lectures, the Main Lounge with a dance floor and live music, the Panoramic Lounge offers live entertainment and an area for Internet access, a Library, two open-air bars and two restaurants.
The vessel will sail on different Mediterranean cruises.

Princess tours visit the Inuit
Princess Cruises has added nine new choices to its lineup of optional land excursions for Alaska cruisetours.
Land excursions mostly operate from each of Princess’ own wilderness lodges -- Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge, Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge, Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge and Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge -- plus additional Arctic locations.
For instance, on the Anaktuvuk Pass Adventure, guests visit an authentic Eskimo village at the Nunamiut village of Anaktuvuk Pass.
They fly northwest from Coldfoot to Anaktuvuk Pass, in the Brooks Mountain Range and Gates of the Arctic national park.
Once in the village, guests get a first-hand look at present day Inuit life.
