Spanish firm NH Hoteles has opened the NH Royal Beach Grand resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, broadening its presence in that vacation destination.

The luxury all-inclusive property has 369 rooms and four suites, each 118 square metres. All have balconies.

The property itself has two parallel three-storey buildings divided by a garden, palm trees and a swimming pool.

The rooms have tropical wood and wickerwork, and have been decorated in fusca and green and have Jacuzzis on their balconies.

Suites have sea views and use of Balinese beds on the beach. Two suites on the ground floor have direct access to the beach.

Diving, sailing and kite surfing are among the available sports, as are horseback excursions along white-sand beaches.

A 2,000-square-metre swimming pool runs like a canal through all of the hotel’s gardens, and the NH Royal Beach Grand has a gym, two tennis courts, two paddle tennis courts and a basketball court.

A wellness centre is managed by Ram Spa and will enable guests to experience beauty and health treatments, such as aromatherapy, massages, body and face treatments, along with yoga, tai chi and meditation classes.

There are three restaurants – one Mexican, another a bistro that serves international and fusion cuisine, and the Grand Royal Festival, which offers a buffet.

Guests will also find three bars, one in the swimming pool, another on a beach and Bar Coral, which at times has a DJ.

Also found are a disco, a casino, bowling alley and a paintball area.

NH Royal Beach Grand has reception rooms that together can hold up to 890 people when set up as an auditorium and 650 when set up for receptions. The roof of one of the buildings has a terrace with a gazebo that can be used for celebrations.

The new resort is a short distance from NH Real Arena, a five-star complex that allows NH Royal Beach Grand guests to use all its facilities.

The property is 15 km from Punta Cana International Airport.
